A 300A, single pole, marine grade rotary battery switch from Durite. These are installed in-line on the DC cables between the battery and inverter charger for safe isolation. This is optional with Pylon batteries, as Pylons come with an on/off switch on each unit already but some installers prefer this as a more obvious isolation point.
This AC-coupled storage system has a total usable energy capacity of 5.0 kWh. It features six embedded grid-forming microinverters and a continuous output power rating of 3.2 kVA.
The IQ Battery 5P is designed to be wall-mounted. A wall-mount bracket is included inside the box. It can also be floor-mounted using the IQ Battery 5P Pedestal Mount. One pedestal is needed per battery.
These lifting handles can be used to assist with lifting the Enphase IQ Battery 5P and mounting the battery onto the wall or pedestal.

Installers must now offer an SPD to the homeowner for them to decide whether they would like one installed. Giv inverters do not come with an SPD inbuilt which means that installers will need to offer their own.

GivEnergy inverters are available in a range of sizes and with a variety of options. For projects of this scale it is recommended to increase battery capacity in increments of 600kWh. These systems are infinitely scalable in both inverter power and battery capacity, making it an extremely flexible choice for commercial installations.
As these projects use bespoke designs for different systems there are a range of optional extras that GivEnergy can provide including EPS/UPS, Power Factor Correction, and grid services such as fast frequency response and demand side response. Please speak to GivEnergy about this from the first meeting so that they can design it to meet these requirements among others.
DIN-mounted EM418 meter for GivEnergy storage systems. Two of these are required per installation, but only where FiT readings or metered billing is a requirement. Standard installs use a single EM115 meter instead.
Warranty Extensions for GivEnergy must be processed within 60 days of commissioning the system. We recommend purchasing it from ourselves within 55 days to allow administrative processing time at Midsummer and at GivEnergy. Warranties cannot be extended outside of this 60 day period.

The GivEnergy Long Range Wireless Transceiver allows you to connect GivEnergy devices over distances where it is impractical or impossible to run cables, or for wifi to reach.
This new version is programmable on site to different channels using an LCD screen, meaning you no longer need to order specific pre-programmed versions when you need more than one per site.
Receiver and transmitter are interchangeable.
In theory, these LoRa transmitters can be used with other systems that are not GivEnergy, however we are unable to offer technical support for this. Other systems would need to be able to use Modbus protocols.

Growatt's GBLI battery boasts a high single unit capacity of 6.5kWh with high energy density and efficiency utilising cobalt free LiFePO4 increasing system safety. They can be paralleled up to a maximum of 4 providing an exceptional 26kWh of energy storage and can be easily installed.
Growatt's ML33RTA battery has single unit capacity of 3.3kWh
with high energy density and efficiency utilising cobalt free LiFePO4 increasing system safety.
They can be paralleled up to a maximum of 6 providing 19.8kWh of energy storage that can be easily installed.
The Growatt SPH BL-UP 3kW hybrid inverter enables design flexibility with 2 MPPTs and an IP65 rating that allows for the inverter to be installed outside. This inverter can be monitored via the Growatt Shine-WiFi-X.
The SPH BL-UP comes with EPS functionality built in, with <10ms changeover time keeping the power on during blackouts. The SPH BL-UP can be paired with up to 6 x 3.3kWh ML33TRA (19.8kWh) or 4 x 6.5kWh GBLI batteries (26kWh).
Buying from Midsummer also increases the warranty from the standard 5 years to 10 years.
